It began in a friend’s living room in Hackney, London in 2018, with a small collection of clothes and the wish to make a store that felt personal, a little odd, and close to real life.
At first, I made it almost like a capsule line, creating and presenting pieces myself.
As life moved between London and Seoul, the store naturally shifted into a buying-based project, selecting pieces from Seoul whilst I was living in London. After I moved to Tokyo in 2025, the brand took the name sai sai achilles.

“Sai sai” comes from Korean and means the space between things.
Achilles was added for the honest beauty that can appear through imperfection.

Seoul, London, and Tokyo all sit somewhere inside the store.
Not in an obvious moodboard way, more like the way certain clothes remind you of a trip, a person, a bad haircut, a room you slept in once, or a receipt left in a pocket for too long :)

Pieces are chosen for daily life, travel, old photos, and the small memories clothes somehow collect.
